Golf Tournament

The Eighth Annual RCSSA’S Panther Classic golf tournament was held Saturday October 22, at Bowling Green Country Club. Despite the wet weather over 40 golfers attended. The rain held out all day and it was a great success. Jerry Carter’s team came in first place. Carter is the Athletic Director at Liberty High School in Bealeton. He’s also an avid golfer and good mentor to Liberty’s Golf Team. Second place was won by our own Dr. Robert Chappell’s team which included Tom Taylor, Brian Taylor and Bill Taylor. No one won the car or the million dollar shot despite brilliant efforts. Twenty nine local businesses supported the event rising close to five thousand dollars. The businesses include: The Inn at Little Washington, T.G. Taylor Construction, Rappahannock National Bank, Kreyling Construction, Sunnyside Farms, Ginger Hill Angus, Howie Swaim Realtor, www.cheesecake.com, Flying -A-Farm, Rappahannock Cellars, Public House, Griffin Tavern, Blue Water Builders, Burgers-N-Things, Shaws Services, Maloney and Ward Insurance, Doug K. Baumgardner, Long Mountain Nursery, Fairlea Farms B&B, Sam Snead Realty, Mountain Side Medicine, The Middleton Inn, Peter Kramer Cabinet Maker, Early’s Carpet, Rankins Hardware, Rappahannock Farmers Coop, Mills, Bowman, & Dayton, PC, Curves and Santee Trucking. We would like to thank all the support we had from businesses, golfers and volunteers to make the event successful.
