Election Day
In some circles there’s a lot of interest and in other circles there is little tr no interest in Tuesday’s elections.
For those running it certainly matters and it should matter to all of us regardless of our political affiliations.
The Kilgore-Kaine race will come down to the wire. For many, the choice is clear. For others, it’s a toss up between two attractive, mid-forties attorneys who both have held elected office and both say they want to do good and caring things for tiie people of Virginia. They’ve also both been politicking to death. It’s amazing they are both still vertical. Rappahannock has one of its own running for the 15lh. District House of Delegates - Jim Blubaugh. His bright blue pick-up has put on a lot of miles and while garnishing a strong Democratic following, Todd Gilbert hails from Shenandoah County where he has the backing of a hefty Republican stronghold. If you think that your vote doesn’t matter, it does. And if you think that you don’t have a voice in your government, you do. Voting is a privilege extended to citizens who live in a democractic land where they have earned the right to vote and are governed by officials who count on their votes. Don’t be shy on Tuesday.
