Eugene Clarence (Gene) Cooke, 68, of Gordonsville, Va. passed away at the Hospice House in Charlottesville on Friday, October 28.
He was bom March 12,1937 in Rappahannock County to Raymond E. Cooke and Vivian Stover Cooke.
Mr. Cooke served his country in the U. S. Army from 1960 until 1962. He retired from the Culpeper County School system where he worked at the Farmington Elementary School.
He is survived by his wife Lorraine Ann Cooke of Gordonsville, Va., three sisters, Elizabeth Newcomer of Manassas, Joyce Settle of Castleton, and Dorothy Davis of Hurt, Va., one brother, Robert Lee Cooke of Culpeper.
