Apples are falling along with the temperatures, and the leaves are starting to color the mountainsides.
The Blue Ridge Mountains were outlined against the October sky and the air was crisp at the Sperryville Fire Department Fall Festival last Saturday at the Sperryville fire house.
The event was sponsored by tne Sperryville Fire Department Auxiliary.
For locals and davtrippers, it was a splendid opportunity to shop from a colorful array of craft and specialty items and enjoy the fresh air, good food and community atmosphere.
A windy Saturday didn’t keep residents and visitors from browsing the booths.
There were about 13 vendors displaying wares.
One of the vendors that caught my eye was the Second Time Around booth, manned by Debbie Brown from Tiger .Valley. Brown had some of ner decorative painting and custom reproductions that must have been long hours in the making.
