its, come to the RCCA annual meeting at the Washington Town Hall on Sunday, November 13. Snacks and socializing begin around 4:00; the program follows at 5:00. (The Town Hall is on Gay Street, at the opposite end from the Courthouse.)
A panel of experts will explain the process and answer questions. You can also sign up to look for sellers or buyers. The panel includes local residents who have sold tax credits, others who have purchased tax credits, and professionals who provide legal advice, accounting services, and appraisals. You don’t have to be rich. Some Rappahannock residents of modest means have purchased tax credits for years.
Bottom line: If you pay Virginia taxes, you can buy credits that reduce your obligation. You’ll also do sellers a favor and help keep our county scenic and rural.
