James Preston “JP” Walters, 75, of Front Royal, Virginia left peacefully with his family by his side to serve his Lord in his heavenly home on April 12.
Mr. Walters was bom on April 12, 1931 in Rappahannock County to the late Hattie W. Riley Walters and the late Lewis Henry Smoot.
Mr. Walters is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Dorothy Cameron Walters, and six children: Patricia Ann Thompson, Teresa Lynn Bywaters and her husband David, Connie Gale Perez and her husband John, James Preston Walters II, Deborah Sue Smith and her husband John, and Allen James Walters and his wife Christina.
