is to develop and implement plans for new signage for the village. A subcommittee (Jim Offut, Tom Junk and Barbara Adolfi) is preparing information to present to the community.
Currently the work of the committee is to photograph existing signs in the region (completed) and ascertain materials used, cost and durability (in process).
Once the information is gathered, there will be public meetings for input and suggestions. It has been suggested that we try to come up with a tag line that is unique to the village of Sperryville.
Remember those wonderful bumper stickers that read, “Sperryville, The Little Apple”? Begin to think about what you might like to suggest for our village. It could be printed on the signs. The Gateway committee looks forward to your creative suggestions!
