The monthly singing and pickin’ party held at the Salem Fire Hall here on Route 522, has been scheduled to take place on Friday, April 21. from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Quite a number of musicians and singers will be present. Food and drinks will be hosted by the department. Come out and enjoy the evening while supporting the department. Your help will be greatly appreciated as preparations have already begun at the new building site.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Robinson and Timmy spent the Easter weekend in Edgewater, Fla. visiting his mother, Mrs. Mae Estmenger and other relatives. •
We continue to covet your prayers for Franklin Hitt of “Cypress Knoll” who remains in Inova Fairfax Hospital, recovering from a severe accident here in Boston last Saturday, and for Mac Arthur Pullen, who underwent major surgery at the University of Virginia Hospital on Tuesday.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Mr. Larry Corsare Sr. who passed away at Fauquier Hospital on Wednesday.
Belated birthday wishes go out to my niece, Patty Doty, who reached the half century mark on Thursday, Jessica Shaw and Jason Tharp also shared Thursday as their day with Miranda Shaw growing a year on Saturday.
