Andrew Michael Dixon, of Delaplane, was arrested on Sunday for destruction of cemetery property, driving while intoxicated, and entering property with intent to commit damage to the Forest Grove Baptist Church.
The Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office was first notified of a disturbance at the church by Lieutenant Connie Smith, who was off duty at the time.
Smith reported yelling and a car spinning its wheels at the church at about 1:30 a.m.
According to the RCSO, deputies arriving at the scene found a headstone knocked over and a damaged mailbox.
This incident is still under investigation.
