On March 10, Democratic county chairs or their representatives met in Shenandoah County and chose the primary as the method to select candidates for the fall elections. A primary is the most democratic process for candidate selection. It provides an opportunity for voters to meet and learn the candidate’s stand on issues and for the candidate to gain a fuller understanding of the concerns of the district.
On June 12 of this year, the voters will go to the polls and vote for his/her selection.
