April 29: Tax Credit Seminar
Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance (RCCA) is sponsoring a seminar on the purchase and sale of Virginia Tax Credits on Sunday, April 1 29, from 3-5 p.rp. at the Washington Town Hall on 485 Gay Street. Anyone whjzr pays Virginia taxes can lower their t^xes by purchasing credits from landowners who have donated easements. A panel of experts will explain the process from both a buyer and seller perspective. For further information, contact the RCCA office at 540-9878268.

All community members, art lovers and tea drinkers young & old are. invited and encouraged to drop into the Gallery for the last weekend of Steve Kenny’s Show. Newest Middle Street Gallery Members, Ann Georgia McCaffray and Barbara Heile Sherwood, will be sitting at the Gallery Friday & Saturday, respectively. Steve Kenny will be at the Gallery on Sunday working on his latest painting. Come join them for a delicious cup of tea and perhaps some stale Easter candy!! Gallery Hours are 11 a. m. - 6 p. m. Donations of stale Easter candy gladly accepted!
May 1-4: WCDS Book Fair
Wakefield Country Day School is hosting the Bedford Falls Book Fair from Tuesday, May 1st, through Friday 4th, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with evening hours on May 4th. There will be Caldecott Medal books, science, reference, young adult, Newberry Medal, picture, and foreign language books, adult best sellers, teacher resource books, and more. The public is welcome.
May 1: Kindergarten registration
All children who will be five years old by September 30, 2007 may enter Kindergarten this August. Registration for new kindergartners will be held at RCES on Tuesday, May 1, Wednesday, May 2 and Thursday, May 3. The hours are 9 a.m.-1l:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. -3 p.m. by appointment. If you know of any children in Rappahannock County who will be five by September 30 (including your own), we would greatly appreciate your giving us that information so that we may contact their parents and arrange an appointment.
