David Hardy achieved international recognition in 1982 as the top American prize winner at the Seventh International Tchaikovsky Cello Competition in Moscow. He made his solo debut with the National Symphony Orchestra in 1986 with Mstislav Rostropovich conducting. In 1994 he was named Principal Cellist of the NSO by Music Director Leonard Slatkin. In addition to his performing schedule, David Hardy is Professor of Cello at the Peabody Conservatory of Music.
Tickets for the concert at the Theatre on Sunday, April 15 at 4 p.m. are $20 for adults and $5 for students 18 and under.
