Luke said he does not think it will work to combine legal efforts with other affected counties, because each jurisdiction has different interests tied up in the four route options Dominion is proposing.
Of the various proposals, company officials have called the route that passes through Rappahannock their “preferred” option. The other route proposals nm through northern Fauquier County along Interstate 66.
“We do not have unity of opinion on where the route may be,” Luke said. “It’s going to go through somebody’s backyard, whether it be Fauquier’s or Rapphannock’s.”
