Working in an emergency room would be somewhat intimidating for most of us, but for Colleen McElhinney, it’s the ideal place to work. 'Since it's an ever-changing environment,’ she says, 'there's always a new challenge, or something new to learn, or something different to experience.' As a clinical technician for the Fauquier Hospital Emergency Department and a volunteer paramedic, Colleen appreciates the opportunity to serve her community. 1 like helping people,' she says. 1 try to be a blessing to those I work with and an encouragement to all the patients and families I come into contact with.'
