The scenic river designation, chairman Robert Anderson summed up before he added his “aye* vote to the four others, “doesn't do a whole lot for the landowner - but it doesn't do a whole lot to him, either."
A scenic river designation for the Hughes was passed earlier this suniner bv the Culpeper County supervisors; a vote on the designation is also expected this fall in Madison County.
