Tom Sietsema, restaurant critic for The Washington Post, made a surprise visit to Little Washington over Labor Day weekend.
Under a different name, he reserved a room at the Middleton Inn where he stayed Saturday, Sept. 5. After he checked in, he went to dinner at The Inn at Little Washington with a reservation under another name to hide his identity. He went to The Inn to review the restaurant for the Fall Dining Guide expected out next month.
In the 2008 Dining Guide, The Inn received four stars, the highest rating.
