My only reservation about our types is too many are Republicans. But few of us left our former homes to flee the political process or to take it over here. Fortunately, however, some of us take part in the good old American tradition of political activity We may work for one or the other of the main parties.
On the political front, there is a widespread belief, by no means restricted to Democrats, that frequently local candidates, when elected, what they do or don’t do, are the products of a select few who are accustomed to pulling the strings. My experience with local Democrats shows that their goal is not to tell anyone what to do. but rather, to give the voters something they have all too often not enjoyed - a choice.
