The front door now opens into the latest addition, a combined living room/artist studio, filled with light and air. Large windows and a high, many level ceiling adds an air of spaciousness to the place. A fireplace with soapstone surround, bookcases filled with old pottery and china pieces, as well as books, and a pair of sofas share space with an artist’s table, and an ample closet for art supplies, paper, ink, paint and brushes, whose opening turns the room into Nancy's studio.
A hallway into the original part of the house incorporates the outside brick wall, against which sits an antique Welsh dresser, filled with more interesting family platters and other pottery pieces. The former living'dining room is now the dining room with a walnut dining table made in the early 1900s from a walnut tree from nearby Pleasant View Farm, and an
