The front door now opens into the latest addition, a combined living room/artist studio, filled with light and air. Large windows and a high, many level ceiling adds an air of spaciousness to the place. A fireplace with soapstone surround, bookcases filled with old pottery and china pieces, as well as books, and a pair of sofas share space with an artist’s table, and an ample closet for art supplies, paper, ink, paint and brushes, whose opening turns the room into Nancy's studio.

A hallway into the original part of the house incorporates the outside brick wall, against which sits an antique Welsh dresser, filled with more interesting family platters and other pottery pieces.
