custodians had been cleaning the floors and painting rooms. This is something that they cannot do in the dark. And believe me, when there are no lights on in that school in the hallway it is dark. When I paint I open the windows and the doors plus have fans going. August 12 was five days before the teachers were to start back to work on Aug. 17. Several teachers had been in and out all day getting their classrooms ready for the new school year. So I am sure that is why the A/C was on in the rooms. I find it hard to believe they were set at 65, maybe 68 or 70. Some of the teachers at RCES are going through menopause though, just like myself, and they do get hot flashes. Having the A/C cooler does feel better when you are in the midst of a hot flash.
The RCHS windows and “old Harry Homeowner” A C units are the ones that need replacement. They are sucking more energy and money than leaving the lights on so you can see to clean the floor. I have been in a classroom at
