art.’We were so pleasantly surprised at the number of folks that signed up to be on the tour. We were so doubly surprised and delighted when so many artists showed up after the first tour was over and shared their experiences.”

Sallie Morgan recalls. “What I remember about the first year of the Artists Tour was the huge number of decisions that had to be made and the compromises that had to be reached to turn the basic concept into a successful event With Claudia at the RAAC helm, and Lois Manookian mid Linda Dietel guiding the overall planning, there were also dozens of others involved in various committees, dealing with a vast array of issues figuring out a budget, designing and purchasing signage to direct patrons to the various studios, designing a logo and publicity materials, deciding whether to charge patrons, figuring out how to direct all traffic initially to the Washington firehall so folks wouldn't nuss the group show, soliciting sponsors, and so forth "
