The 12th Annual Taste of
Rappahannock, held on Sept. 12 at the Belle Meade Schoolhouse in Sperryville was a tremendous success.
The sold-out event will provide much needed funds for Headwaters, whose mission is to foster excellence in education for the children of Rappahannock County. Three anonymous donors presented us with a Match Challenge of $15,000 which was a great gift to the cause. All Challenge monies raised that evening will be matched 100 percent.
The success of the event was due to the hard work of many, many people and organizations. We would like to thank everybody for their time, effort and contributions. If it takes a village to raise a child then it takes an army of volunteers to make a night like this a reality. Please see the ad running in the paper this week for a complete list of all of the people who worked to make this night so wonderful. Our apology in advance if anybody is inadvertently left off of the list.
