Officers
The fourth grade classes at Rappahannock Elementary School held 4-H meetings recently to organize individual clubs.
Students in Mrs. Ruth Baumgardner’s room decided to call themselves “Four Leaf Clovers.” They elected Edwin Eastham as president, Chad Bear as vice-president, Tom Massie as secretary, Teresa Hendricks as song leader, Patrick Brown as reporter and Chris Williams as game leader.
Mrs. Aney Massie’s class picked “Junior Panthers” as their club name. Elected as officers were president, Mark Brown; vice-president, Tammy Butler; secretary, Denice Eidson; song leader Gina Schumaker and reporter Richie Adams. The group’s leader will be Mrs. Barbara Rosenberry.
Mrs. Ashby Grimsley will be the leader for 4-H’ers in Mrs. Rowe’s room. Heather Blevins was elected president; Bonnie Grimsley, vicepresident; Leslie Rinker, song leader; Tara Fisher, secretary and Louis Moore, reporter.
The 4-H club from Mrs. Sheila Freeman’s class received their 4-H booklets for the year and elected Lee Baines president, Lettie Robinson vice-president, Kathy Spradlin secretary, Wendy Stringfellow song leader and Tom Heffern1 reporter.
Special Service
The Woman’s Day program of Second Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Amissville will be observed on Sunday, November 5, 1978. The speaker of the hour for the 11 a.m. service will be Sister Ethel Briscoe of Norristown, Pa. and the 3 p.m. service will present The Family Three of Washington, D.C, Everyone is invited to attend. Elder George Bailey, Pastor.
