Uuests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Compton were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rosenberger of Aldie.

Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lawrence and family lor the weekend were their son, C. G. Lawrence, a student at Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, W. Va., and two classmates. Owen Walker and Joel Nahari.

Mrs. Eddie Flock returned to her home Thursday from Culpeper Memorial Hospital and her infant son, Brian Lee, is a patient in the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.

Mrs. David Streagle returned to the home of her mother, Mrs. Sarah Latham Thursday after being a patient in Fauquier Hospital with injuries sustained in a traffic collision last Tuesday. Visiting Mrs. Streagle Friday were Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kephart of Herndon and Sally Mann of McLean. Her callers Saturday were Mrs. Arthur Hoadley of Arlington and Mrs. David Hoadley and Sarah Kearns of Falls Church. They were enroute to their homes after spending ten days in Indiana with relatives.

Training

Navy Seaman Recruit Larry R. Chase, son of Mary Jo Chase of Sperryville, has completed recruit training at the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, 111.

During the eight-week training cycle, he studied general military subjects designed to prepare him for further academic and on-thejob training in one of the Navy’s 85 basic occupational fields.

Included in his studies were seamanship, close-order drill, Naval history and first aid. Personnel who complete this course of instruction are eligible for three hours of college credit in Physical Education and Hygiene. Chase joined the Navy in June 1977.
