Each year a limited number of temporary employees are hired by Shenandoah National Park and other National Park Service areas to work in jobs such as collecting fees at entrance stations, road and campground patrols, interpretation of area resources, and road and trail maintenance. “It should be noted," said Superintendent Robert R. Jacobsen of Shenandoah National Park, "that applications for all of these positions must be received between September 1. 1978, and January 15, 1979.”

‘‘To qualify for these positions, a person must be at least 18 years old or be a high school graduate, and be in good physical condition.
