A Vote
Campaigning for the US' Senate isn’t all questions and answers, charges, countercharges and fundraisers.
Democrat Andrew Miller, responding to a question from The Fauquier Democrat, said a funny thing did happen to him during the campaign.
“1 was in a parking lot," lie said, “and this guy comes up with a box. And he says, You know what I have in the box?’ And I said, ‘No, I haven’t any idea what you have in the box.'
“And he opens the box, the cardboard box, this HUGE FROG is there. Which of course immediately proceeds to jump out of the box...and onto the asphalt...and across th^ parking lot.
“And he turns to me and says, ‘If you don't catch that frog I’m not going ta vote for ya.’ ”
(Laughter. Muttered question, “Did you...?"
Miller, “You’re damn right.”—John Eisenhard
