County. Any encouragement to agriculture—and the breeding of horses is an agricultural pursuit—will help maintain our horse farms and our beloved open space. So, Tuesday’s question is not whether we should allow horse racing right here. It is whether other communities in Virginia should have the opportunity some time in the future to vote on that question. The parimutuel bill, therefore, if only from the standpoint of individual freedom of choice, deserves the support of voters Tuesday.
