FUNDS NEEDED
To the editor:
Your contribution of financial resources to support an essential community service is the purpose of this letter. Those 'dear citizens and friends of Rappahannock County' who respond to and support our fund drive and various fund raising projects are volunteers in the finest sense of the word.
It requires mutual volunteer effort if the Sperryville community is to be provided continuing Rescue Service. On the one hand, this mutual effort requires trained volunteers to operate the Rescue Squad. A lot of time and effort is volunteered tq setvgpther^huqri^n , ■ beings. On the other hand, it certainty requires Viany generous volunteers to donate the financial resources required to pay for the rescue equipment and associated expenses.
This spring we are moving into the VFW Hall vvhich now has a new roof. Your support enabled us to make this transition We have a lot of renovation yet to accomplish. Some of our expenses this year will involve making the Hall suitable as our base of operations. Other significant expenses are the insurance for the rescue vehicles and the medical and first aid supplies required for the rescue mission.
The emphasis on the V in SVRS is stressed to obtain your volunteer support to our fund drive. In an emergency you would expect to depend on the Rescue Squad for assistance The Rescue Squad has to depend on each of you for financial support
