In Full Swing
Visitors to Shenandoah National Park now have the opportunity to participate in a great variety of RangerNaturalist conducted activities.
Evening programs or night walks are offered at all Park campgrounds and at Skyland Lodge. During the day, visitors have 20 different conducted hikes and sit-down activities to choose from.
The Park has something to offer everyone as a sampling of titles indicates: “Signs of the Season,” “Mountain Mysteries,” “Wildflower Walk,” “Outdoor Lore,” “Kids Corner,” “Morning Meander,” and “Adventure Hike.”
Activities schedules will be mailed on request or can be picked up at Park Visitor Centers (Dickey Ridge at Mile 4.6 and Byrd Visitor Center at Milepost 51), entrance stations, or campgrounds. The summer activities schedule extends through August 25. It is hoped that many visitors will take this opportunity to share in the mysteries and glories of Shenandoah National Park.
