standing provides adequate health insurance. The student is enrolled in the local high school, providing benefits for both the student himself and the others in the school.
The exchange can also work the other way: U.S. students live with families abroad for a summer or a year.
The summer program is available in Belgium, Brazil. Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland. France, Germany. Greece. Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Norway. Paraguay, the Philippines, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Uruguay, and Venezuela, while the year program includes some of the same countries, though not all.
The programs are open to high school students who have satisfactory academic records. Prior foreign language training is helpful, but only required in certain areas.
This August a number of foreign students will be arriving to spend the year in this area.
