Johnson
Mrs. Julette Cotten Johnson, 74, of Woodville died Monday, September 17 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Rappahannock County schools for more than 35 years. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Dendron, Surry County, Virginia, a daughter of James Washington and Mary Elizabeth Collier Cotten.
She was a member of the Woodville Baptist Church, Retired Teachers Association and Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond M. Johnson of Woodville; five sisters, Mrs. B. J. Ingram of Hampton, Miss Irene Cotten, Mrs. R. E. Burgess, Mrs. Frances Laine, all of Richmond, and Mrs. J. M. Payne of Bowling Green.
A funeral service was held Wednesday at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper conducted by the Rev. A. W. Laine and the Rev. B. G. Titchenell. Burial was in Woodville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lawrence Murphy, Rick Johnson, Roy Burgess, Donald Robertson, Preston Pulliam and Michael Flaherty.
