Tall Tales

Wanted

Gladding International Sport Fishing Museum is looking for “whoppers” to compete in the annual Gladding Tall Tales Contest. Contestants should submit their fish stories, including name, address and phone number, to Gladding Fishing Tall Tales Contest, P. O. Box 586, Back Bay Annex, Boston, MA 02117. Professional writers will be judged separately and so should indicate their status. First prize in the contest is a week at the El Cid Resort Hotel in Mexico with roundtrip tickets on Aero Mexico Airlines. In addition, the winner will receive a supply of Gladding fishing products.

Entry deadline is December 1, 1979.

Season Starts

Registration for Rappahannock Girl Scouts was held Wednesday, September 12, at the elementary school. Girls interested in joining may still call Martha Kidwell at 937-4114.

Plans for the coming year are in progress with a camping trip at the Shaw House opening the season. A textiles and fabric course which will include spinning and weaving will be taught by Liz Scherschel.

Anyone interested in helping the Scouts on projects will be greatly appreciated and should call Mrs. Kidwell to volunteer.
