"I stated when the budget was approved that we will try live within our budget,” Mrs. Massie responded. Since the supervisors had reacted fairly to the school board’s funding request, she maintained, the school board was therefore "more or less bound to honor the board of supervisors by living within out budget.”

Revival
The revival at Promise Land Baptist Church in Washington continued Thursday and Friday nights with services at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, September 23 will be the annual Homecoming Day with a worship service at 11:30 a.m. conducted by the Rev. John Pendleton. Lunch will be served at 1:30 and at 3 p.m. the Rev. R. L. Banks of Culpeper will be the speaker.
