Rappahannock-bred Angus cattle are making a name for themselves at the Carroll County Maryland 4-H Club shows. This year, an Angus steer purchased from Janies Cannon of El Rancho Grande Farm at Castleton was chosen reserve champion of all breeds at the show held last month.
The animal was shown by its owner, Joe Cooney of Westminister, Md. in a field of more than 100 head.
The 4-H show grand champion of all breeds last year came from the El Rancho Grande herd also.
