15. At the park they saw a slid presentation about the Battle of Antietam, viewed a special exhibit of Civil War military clothing and weapons and toured the battle grounds. Excursions planned in the weeks ahead include trips to Chancellorsville, Fredericksburg, Manassas, Gettysburg and visits to museums in Harpers Ferry and Front Royal. In addition to regular classroom instruction on the topic of the American Civil War, the students will hear several lectures given by guest speakers.
