A special membership drive for the Culpeper Community Concert Association is scheduled for Sept. 24 through 30 for those who failed to secure their membership during the regular sign-up period. Membership provides you the opportunity to attend the regularly scheduled performances in Culpeper and in addition allows you to attend concerts in Manassas and Fairfax if you so desire. Cost of membership is $30 for a family; $18 for head of family and children; $12 for an adult; $6 for a student and $50 for a patron subscriber.
Presentations in Culpeper include: An Evening With John Raitt on Saturday, November 17; Nancy Allen and Ransom Wilson, harpflute, Monday, February 11 and Bob Green’s World Of Jelly Roll Morton on Sunday, May 4.
If you cannot attend the concerts but wish to support the association in its effort to bring professional talent to the local area, you may wish to send a student ticket to Mrs. Judy Bomberger, music teacher in the Rappahannock schools, to assist her in providing more cultural experience for her students.
New members of the association board from Rappahannock are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frantz of Washington; Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Herndon and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bomberger of Sperryville. Mrs. George Muth of Woodville remains a board member. Retiring from the board were Mrs. W. H. Lyne and Mrs. Maurice Biddle.
