Youth Programs
She administers agricultural programs primarily designed for young farmers. “It’s set up to get youth off the street and motivated. We give them grants to start farm projects.”
To obtain funding, applicants must fit/ out “working papers” with Libby’s assistance. If the project is less than $10,000, it’s approved by committees on the district and state levels. Over $10,000, the farm project must be okayed by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, based in Kampala.
Walking Tour
Earns $111
The Rappahannock Historical Society reports its Guided Walking Tours of Washington on September 20 a great success, earning $111 for the society. This included sales, memberships, and donations which were collected that day.
So many people have expressed regret at missing the tour that another is planned for spring. Meanwhile the three ‘guides’ are back again at work researching further into the history of the town.
