Cave Lot, the McCarthy home, of French country design on multilevels with high pitched roofs, was built around a 200 year old cabin. Field stone, native oak and chestnut paneling were used in the construction. Interesting pieces in the home include an 18th century dining table, a 125 year old sled, etchings, and a table made of a slab of marble, given the Senator by his children.
