Local Artists

Local artists can compete for prize money in the 8th annual Landmark Art Show, held during Front Royal’s Festival of the Leaves on Sunday and Monday, October 14 and 15.

Competition is open to all artists who work in oil, acrylic, watercolor and a variety of other media. In addition to the Craig A. Livingston memorial award for watercolor, 1st and 2nd prizes will be awarded in oil, acrylic and watercolor. A 1st and 2nd award will also be made in the variety media category which includes, but is not limited to, pen and ink, pencil, pastel, crayon, chalk, clay and photography.

Interested artists may call 636-2702 for further information. The show will be held at First Street and North Royal Avenue across from the First Baptist Church in Front Royal.

Frazier’s Have Son

Mr. and Mrs. Wade Frazier Sr. of Washington announce the birth of a son, Steven Brian, on September 28, 1979, in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Grandparents of the baby are Mrs. Irene Frazier and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thomas, all of Sperryville. Greatgrandparents are Mrs. Rosie Clatterbuck, George Alther and Will Thomas, also all of Sperryville.
