absorb such common odors as cigarette, and cigar smoke, mustiness, pet accidents and food spills. Sprinkle baking soda lightly over the carpet or rug; wait 15 minutes, then vacuum as usual. An added bonus is that the room is left with a clean, fresh scent, not a perfumed cover-up.

I’d like to share the following recipes which were shared with the Nutrition group at the Mental Health Clinic last week.

POPPY SEED

COOKIES

Washington, Va.

2 eggs

two thirds c. vegetable oil

2 tsp. vanilla

two thirds c. honey

2 c. whole wheat flour

2 teasp. baking powder

2 Tablespoons poppy seeds.

Beat eggs in large bowL Add oil, vanilla, honey and stir until well blended. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Drop by rounded teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet about 1 Winches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 2Vi dozens.
