The Western Regional Big Game Trophy Contest will be held in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Friday and Saturday, October 5 and 6 at the Auto Auction Building at Exit-62 off 1-81.
Deer, bear and turkey legally killed during the 1978 hunting season, west of the Blue Ridge in Virginia, are eligible for Western Regional Awards. Deer and bear winners will be eligible for the Virginia State Contest in competition with the Eastern Regional winners.
Resident or non-resident sportsmen, having trophies taken this past season, may enter them in the contest. There is no entry fee. No
SCC Revises
Booklet
The State Corporation. Commission (SCC) is distributing new booklets to help consumers learn more about how the SCC works and how consumers can get help when they have problems with securities and other matters regulated by the SCC.
Many of the booklets will be handed out by SCC employees stationed at the Commission’s display in the Commonwealth Building at the Virginia State Fair.
Copies of the booklet also are available at SCC offices in the Blanton Building in Capitol Square.
They may be obtained for school groups, libraries, students and interested consumers by writing to the SCC Public Information Office, PO Box 1197, Richmond 23209.
