Libby Snead of Washington is one of the new generation of Peace Corps workers. Back recently in Rappahannock for a visit with her parents. Judge and Mrs. Rayner V. Snead, she has spent the last year and three months in Malaysia.
Libby caught the Peace Corps “bug" back in the 60’s. “It’s something I’ve always wanted to do since I was little.” she explained. She put off enlistment until after graduation from Mary Washington in Fredericksburg and joined the Corps last year.
“They gave me a choice of three assignments—Ghana, the Phillipines and Malaysia. I wasn’t really interested in the Phillipines and my mother had a fit about Ghana.” Libby remembered, smiling at parental protectiveness. She recalled
