Noakes
Funeral services for George Levie Noakes were conducted Sunday at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, Culpeper, by the Rev. R. L. Banks. Burial was in Culpeper National Cemetery.
Mr. Noakes, a chef-cook, died Sunday, May 25, 1980, at Lincoln Hospital in Bronx, N. Y. He was 69 and a native of Culpeper County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Viola Noakes of Culpeper; his mother, Mrs. Julie Noakes of Culpeper; two sons, George Noakes of Culpeper and William Spurgon Noakes of New Jersey; a step-son George Hackley of Washington, D. C.; a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Glascoe of Washington, D. C., four brothers, Silas Noakes of New York, James Noakes of Brandy Station, Gilbert Noakes and Richard Noakes, both of Boston.
