Winners of the gymkhana events in the afternoon were Justin Corrdry in the Jelly Bean Race, Amy Harris and Heather Chappel in the Ribbon Race, Stephanie Handley in Musical Chairs and the Obstacle Race, John Piper in the Egg and Spoon Race and Billy Germelman in the Barrell Jump.
Dr. Raymond Grimm of Front Royal, chairman of the Wakefield Horse Show Committee, was assisted by Mrs. Christine Bach, Mrs. Margot Corrdry of Hume, and Mrs. Evie Morman of Front Royal. The announcer was Mrs. Cassey Jones of Berryville and Bobby Gerhringer of Flint Hill was Ring Steward.
Flint Hill Picnic
The annual Flint Hill community picnic sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary of that village is scheduled for Sunday, June 22 at S p.m. at the carnival grounds. Everyone should bring a covered dish or picnic basket and join the fun and fellowship.
