Lastly, I must thank my mothers, whose generosity and moral support kept my motivation high and gave me the impetus to press onward for the rights of the handicapped. Mrs. Carol Murray and Mrs. Jenny Stringfellow’s familiar faces will remain engraved in my children’s minds. I'm sure.
I feel that these people exemplify the kind of values I’ve tried to impart to my class as their teacher. In the face of the harshest adversities (such as being labeled a “babysitter”) these folks were there, feeling the way that I do, encouraging my efforts, and, most importantly, loving the kidsevery single (handicapped) one of them. You are all wonderful people—thanks a million everyone.
