Before leaving the city, we visited the United Nations, taking an informative tour of the building and received a better understanding of international relations.
Around noon, we departed for home. The bus ride was somewhat quieter as we were all very tired.
I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to go to New York. The city is a fascinating place to visit and we all had a wonderful time. However, I think we were glad to return to Rappahannock. We missed the mountains, clean air and water, and good old southern hospitality. New York is a neat place to visit, but as they say: “You can take the girl out of the cpuntry, but you can’t take the country out the girl.”
