In lieu of all the recent controversy surrounding the schools, and the thoughtless comments made concerning our special education pupils, I find it a great opportunity to applaud the contributions of some of the county’s finer citizens.
Mrs. Ester Settle of Flint Hill has given of her time this year to teach us the triguing art of manual communication, and we have benefitted a thousand times, and in more ways than she could imagine.
Mr. George Kidwell of Amissville has a permanent place in our hearts as our favorite Olympic coach and spirit booster. His genuine concern and selfless giving have imbued us with a sense of worth not easily shaken. We deeply appreciate his devotion to a selfless life.
A million thanks also to Daphne Hutchinson, who has given us excellent coverage, explained the finer points of photography to us, and expressed an interest in our ultimate welfare as one of Rappahannock's distinct
