At a special meeting last Thursday morning, the Rappahannock supervisors approved a grant of $4,835 from the state Office of Fire Services Training for improvements to the Amissville fire school facility.
The county will front the money for roof repairs and new lintels over the doors and windows in the building used for fire fighter training. The Office of Fire Services Training will then reimburse the county for all verified contractual expenses, not to exceed $4,835.
The project must be completed by June 15 in order to meet the grant deadline.
