hires twenty economically disadvantaged youth and teaches them basic job skills by using various aspects of the performing arts as a basis of learning. All technical work for the production is being done by the participants.
The group will be presenting The Pigman written by Paul Zindel at 8:00 p.m. on June 6th and 7th at the Barboursville Community Center, then again the following week on June 12th, they will be going on tour for the Blue Ridge Hospital.
The participants have participated in every aspect of putting a stage play together. They have been working for almost two months to get this production ready. The admission charge is free and the participants hope you will come out to see the show on June 6th or 7th at the Barboursville Community Center and help make their program a theatrical success.
