We hear a lot of talk about precedent in discussions of zoning issues. We’re worried about the precedent set by ignoring for seven years provisions that apply to an entire zoning category. We wonder how the planning commission and board of supervisors can hold some individuals—for instance developer C. L. Goode with his proposal for a 14-lot subdivision—to strict compliance with the ordinance and then toss county laws out the window for others.
