To me, New Yprk appears so much different at night than it does during the day. Earlier I had noticed the trash lying around on the streets and the constant hustle-bustle of the crowds. However, on the carriage that night, the city was magical with lights that seemed to stretch out forever.
Much too soon, it was time to go to bed. Before 1 went to sleep. 1 looked out the window. 1 got the impression that New York is a 24 hour city! It never sleeps. There is always someone out on the streets. Just as I was dozing off. a man with a saxophone began playing a tune out in the street.
We arose early Saturday morning, ate breakfast, then boarded a bus for a six hour tour of Manhatten, the heart of the city. We were fortunate to have an excellent tour guide who made the trip both interesting and informative.
